Question 1

What makes TLC different from other grading companies?

Accepted Answer

TLC is built around transparency. Your card is graded in person, the process is documented, the grade is reviewed, and the finished card is tied to a permanent verification record.

Question 2

Why does TLC grade cards this way?

Accepted Answer

Because valuable cards deserve more than a number on a label. We want the process to be visible, accountable, and easy to understand from grading through certification.

Question 3

How do you protect my card while it’s in your care?

Accepted Answer

We minimize handling, maintain a clear chain of custody, and keep the process controlled from check-in through grading, review, sealing, and return.

Question 4

Why should I trust TLC with a valuable card?

Accepted Answer

Because our process is designed to reduce blind spots. Grading is reviewed, the process is documented, and the final certification is connected to a permanent TLC record.

Question 5

Do you offer bulk or private-day grading?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For collectors with multiple high-value cards, TLC offers private sessions and full-day grading options with dedicated time and focused attention on your collection. Contact us today to discuss.

Question 6

What happens if you see something concerning about my card?

Accepted Answer

We stop and take a closer look. TLC may decline or pause grading if we see signs of alteration, damage, authenticity concerns, or anything else we are not comfortable certifying.

Question 7

What do I receive when grading is complete?

Accepted Answer

You receive your sealed TLC slab, your final grade and subgrades, supporting notes, and a permanent TLC verification record connected to your card’s unique code. Best of all, you get it all done the same day!

Question 8

Can I watch my card being graded?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TLC is designed around transparency, and in-person grading allows you to see the process rather than simply sending your card away and waiting.

Question 9

Is my card insured while it’s being graded?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TLC maintains insurance coverage for cards while they are in our care, subject to applicable policy terms and coverage limits. Documentation of coverage is available upon request.
